This blog is set up to raise awareness of Chi Cheng,bass player of Deftones.
Chi was involved in a serious car accident in 2008 and was in a coma but has since been in a semi-conscious state.He needs moved from California to New Jersey where theres a Brain Injury Rehab Clinic that has a treatment with an 84% success rate of bringing severe coma patients out of their coma-state.

After 3 failed attempts,Chi finally got his foot surgery.

i just got a text from momma j… here is her message:
“hi bear. please put out a prayer request. dai is in a neuro ICU at the hospital he went to for his foot surgery. there was no room so they gave him a room in the ER and said he had a seizure while the epilepsy specialist was watching. will know more tomorrow. will keep you informed. love, mom”
please keep chi in your thoughts and prayers.
i wish he didn’t have to go thru this kind of crap anymore. it’s heartbreaking.

“hey all,
chi was just taken into surgery a moment ago… they are doing a minor procedure to put in a shunt. it is basically used to administer meds and draw blood without having to continuously poke him every time they need something. they expect it to take about an hour.
the dude just can’t catch a break. i hate that he has to keep going thru stuff.. but i guess doing this once will be better than him being poked over and over.
